Andrew Aldridge, Venture Partner, Europe
 
Mr. Aldridge brings a wide range of investment experience in the energy and power sectors in emerging economies, with over 15 years of experience in private equity investments, project/corporate financing and project development across Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.  He has worked in the Chinese energy market for over 5 years as a private equity investor and developer of projects in the clean energy and environmental sectors.
 
He is the Founder and Managing Director at EM Energy, a boutique project and investment advisoryfirm based in Hong Kong, specializing in cross border investments in the renewable energy and clean technology markets in China.
 
Prior to EM Energy, he was Director and Head of Carbon Finance of Greater China with Climate Change Capital, a London based investment fund manager with $1.4 billion assets under management and focused on the development of renewable energy, energy efficiency and waste management projects by leveraging carbon financing under the CDM. He managed a team of Chinese nationals that completed over 30 carbon finance deals in China and was responsible for managing an investment portfolio of over $ 600 million.
 
Before joining Climate Change Capital, he was Director of the Power Investmentswith Actis /CDC Group, a private equity firm focused on providing growth capital to private companies in emerging economies, where he built and managed an investment portfolio of over $300 million, with a team of 10 professionals based in London and Houston.
 
Mr. Aldridge has been a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales since 1990. He holds a bachelor degree in Physics from Imperial College of Science and Technology, University of London.
