Mr. Sultan has over 20 years of investment banking, institutional research, and technical expertise and has completed over US$1 billion in transactions.

He was previously Managing Director of Thomas Lloyd Capital, an investment bank in the United States, responsible for investment banking in clean technology and renewable energy. The company is a subsidiary of Thomas Lloyd Group, an international financial services company headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland.

Previously, he was Managing Director of MCF Investment Bank (Merriman Curhan Ford & Co., a NASDAQ listed company), responsible for the new energy industry business, and has completed many projects such as electric hybrid vehicles, solar energy, biofuels, fuel cells, energy-saving buildings, LED lighting and smart grids.

He spent 8 years as a senior sell-side institutional research analyst at Bank of America Securities (formerly Montgomery Securities), C.E. Unterberg Towbin, and Pacific Growth Equities, assisting in more than US$250 million in financings. As an analyst, he was often quoted in publications such as “The Wall Street Journal” and “Investors Business Daily.”

Mr. Sultan holds an MBA in finance from Columbia University, an MS in computer engineering from the University of Southern California, and a BS in mechanical engineering from Columbia University.
